Where to Play Mini Golf in Auckland
Mini Putt on the North Shore
Jurassic Mini Putt at Game Over – Albany
If you’re partial to the odd dinosaur (and who among us isn’t?!) we recommend heading along to Jurassic Mini Putt within the Game Over complex.
No expense has been spared in making this prehistoric course, complete with incredibly lifelike dinosaurs.
At 12 holes long, the course is the perfect length – long enough to be a challenge but short enough to keep the little ones engaged.
As an added bonus, kids 5 and under play free of charge, making it a fantastic value for families.

Dragon Quest by Lilliputt Mini Golf – Takapuna
Conveniently located in LynnMall shopping centre, Dragon Quest is one of three Lilliputt mini golf courses in Auckland.
With fantastic theming, this course is perfect for fantasy-loving individuals.
Have you heard the rumours?
The dragon has awoken, furious to learn that her eggs have been stolen.
Your mini-golf-loving friends must return her eggs before she destroys the realm of Golftania.
Yep, you read that right – it’s all up to you!
Fortunately, this is an enjoyable challenge with creative holes and quality storytelling throughout.
If you’re keen to host a child’s party there, they can even arrange for Mcdonald’s to be delivered to your group.

Gloputt Mini Golf – Takapuna
Gloputt Mini Golf in Takapuna offers glow-in-the-dark mini golf that’s suitable for the whole whānau.
With 16 holes of fluro-fun, this course is pretty unique in Auckland.
What’s more, the entire course is housed inside (and climate-controlled) which makes it perfect for Auckland’s infamous weather.
We recommend donning clothes that are either pure white or neon, to ensure your glow just as much as your surroundings.
It’s serious technicolour fun!

Safari and T-Rex Alley by Lilliputt Mini Golf – Parnell
Safari & T-Rex Alley by Lilliputt is perhaps one of the most iconic mini golf courses in Auckland. It’s a stone’s throw from the Eastern Bay beaches (including Mission Bay and Kohimarama) and right opposite the waterfront.
With parking right next door, and two entertaining courses, you will be guaranteed to have a great time in this beautiful location.
If you choose to play on the safari course, be prepared to face challenging holes with slopes, bumps and even giant multi-coloured mushrooms that get in the way of your path to scoring a hole-in-one.
However, if you choose to play on the T-Rex course, you will face deceiving holes leading down different paths – be warned, the most obvious path isn’t always the one to success.
Neither course is more challenging than the other, but both are popular, ensuring fun for all mini golf players – regardless of age.
After finishing the course, we recommend grabbing a snack from the main counter. An ice block is the perfect end to a successful round in the sun. Otherwise, you can head into the hottest restaurants in Parnell.

Holey Moley – Viaduct Bason, Auckland
Holey Moley is the only mini golf right in the middle of Auckland City’s centre!
There you’ll find 27 mini golf holes (spread across three different course), each with a different theme, including Pacman, ET and Tetris. Based on pop-culture references, these holes are the most engaging and create in town. Surprisingly, some of them even require you to use your putter in a whole new way!
I already wrote my detailed review of this place in one of my blogposts so here’s a gist of what you can find in there.
During the day, Holey Moley is fun for the family but after 8 pm it comes to life as an adults-only venue.
Mini golf, music, drinks, and delicious food, will certainly make your night out at the Viaduct unique. They also offer karaoke rooms – perfect if you’ve finished your game but want to keep the night going!
Their bar, The Caddyshack, is the perfect place to refuel after a few rounds of mini golf. They have a variety of pizzas, burgers, hotdogs, and seafood. Specialties include the unique ‘hole in one burger’, and a variety of cocktails (such as the ‘sugar caddy” vodka and lychee cocktail) and mocktails too.
Holey Moley is totally unique in New Zealand; it needs to be seen to be believed.

Enchanted Forest Mini Golf in Onehunga is a beautiful park with gardens and 18 mini golf holes. It is a beautifully relaxed environment to play in, unlike any other courses on this list.
With classic mini golf holes, gorgeous greenery and the sun on your back, it’s the perfect way to spend a sunny Auckland day.
Why not make a day of it and bring a picnic lunch to eat in their picnic area? They also have barbecues available to use so you can even get a sausage sizzle cranking.
Pricing is on-par with most of the other courses in Auckland, but they do offer additional rounds for only $4 each. What a bargain!

The second glow-in-the-dark course on our list, Megazone offers lots of fun – all under the wash of blue light, of course.
With vividly painted walls and a range of fun holes, this is the perfect place to challenge your friends to a game.
Offering a flat rate of only $9 per round (regardless of age), this course is particularly good value if you’ve got a slightly older crowd.
Whilst you’re there, we also recommend checking out their two-storied laser tag course (which is fantastic!) and their arcade too.
Megazone is a great boredom-busting solution in Auckland!

Take in sights like the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Arc De Triomphe as you visit Europe, before dodging wild animals on the plains of Africa.
As they say, it’s “a sightseeing extravaganza”!
When you’re finished, go shopping at Sylvia Park (one of the largest shopping malls in New Zealand), take in a movie or grab a meal at one of the many fantastic restaurants you’ll find there.
