Farming is a huge part of New Zealand culture, and Woodstone Farm is a great introduction to exactly that.
Short on time?
Pop in and enjoy a small section of the farm, where you can meet and some of their friendly animals.
You don’t need to make a booking for this – just drop by and grab a bag of nuts (animal feed) from the food trailer.
With plenty of toilets, and delicious food and drinks, this is a great pitstop as you travel to/from Te Anau.
The full farm experience
However, as awesome as the self-guided area is, we recommend taking your time and booking the full farm experience.
On this 1.5-hour tour, you’ll watch the farm dogs at work, step inside the woolshed for a sheep shearing demonstration, feed a range of friendly farm animals (complimentary nuts/animal feed included), and more.
Plus, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, before finishing with a classic Kiwi cuppa.
These tours are designed for small groups and they run at a relaxed pace, whatever the weather.
